Dr. R. Abouhassan activated my parasympathetic nervous system, which allowed my body to enter a rest and digest state where I was able to be calm and think clearly. I know it is cliché when they say that “it only takes one person“, but for me, he really was the only safe person in my life that allowed me to recognize and exit the abuse cycle that had been going on my entire life. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. R Abouhassan. I consider myself a lottery winner to have been accepted into his private practice and be under his care. He is humble, humorous, intelligent, and a long range thinker to where you can tell that he truly cares about you and listens to understand your circumstances to make the decisions based on that. The notes he documents on you are thorough, insightful, and highly academic. He knows information about every medication that I’ve asked him about off by heart. He needs to be in charge of training the new and upcoming psychiatrists in the area to ensure the best care possible to assist in our mental health crisis. I have seen various other psychiatrists in the area and it is no contest that he is the best.
